As an entrepreneur yourself, Jasbina, you probably have people mentoring you, coaching you, supporting you and advising you. The same thing is true for your dating and love venture.
A lot of people think, “I need to go it alone. It’s showing weakness if I have to rely on other people, work with other people or ask other people for help and support.” That’s a really ridiculous notion.
We ask for help in every other area of our lives. Yet, somehow, when it comes to one of the most important aspects of our lives, we say, “No, I don’t need anyone. I don’t need help.”

I recommend assembling your dating board of advisors. This means assembling a group of people, enrolling them into this entrepreneurial journey of yours and asking for other people’s support, advice and mentoring.
Dating Board of Advisors Suggestions
- Therapist
- Love Mentor
- Stylist
- Coach
1) A few of the people that I suggest to be on the board are therapists.
Some people think, “No therapy.” In my dating journey, it was one of the single most helpful things. It allowed me to meet Dave and create love in my life. Dave is my husband.
2) The second person on your board is a love mentor.
Maybe it’s a close friend that you can talk to about your dating experience.
3) The third member is a stylist.
Not everyone needs that. Maybe it’s considering getting a new look, sprucing up your wardrobe, new makeup or a new hairstyle. Sometimes just a little packaging tweak is what a woman or man needs in the dating world.
4) Coach
Those are just a few advisors that I think would be helpful to be on your board. Ultimately, the make-up of your board is up to you. I suggest also that working with a coach can be a good idea.
I don’t want people to think that they have to spend oodles of money on creating this board.
- If you have a job, therapy sessions are covered by your work health insurance.
- If you have a close friend, they can be your mentor. That costs nothing.
- A friend who is stylish and knows about clothes is not going to cost you anything either.
You don’t need to spend a ton of money to have this board. That’s chapter four.
